No doubt you have noticed that this newsletter, while quite regular in the past, has of recent months become intermittent to say the least and, at the same time, there hasn't been much new material on the website - the galleries for example.
Briefly: this is entirely due to personal and work pressures and not at all to do with a lack of intention on my part. Like the website itself, I put the newsletter together and it's rather had to take a back seat for a while.
I just want to add that it's likely to remain intermittent for a while yet, thank you for your patience if that's what you have been exercising, and assure you that normal, probably bi-monthly, service will be resumed as soon as possible.
A reminder that there are a few places left on the residential week of Relief Carving, 2-6 February 2009 at this wonderful venue, and there is still time to apply!

Important!
Although the site, despite my best efforts, maintains that this is a course for intermediate and advanced students, it absolutely isn't.
Although there will be lots for experienced carvers to learn, I aim this course at complete beginners and assume no previous knowledge of woodcarving.
If you want to gain a good, solid foundation in woodcarving skills and techniques, learn to rudiments of relief carving or improve your existing carving then do join me at West Dean College.
