Subscribe or Unsubscribe easily on the home page here: http://www.chrispye-woodcarving.com/ or using the link at the end of the newsletter. **** Missed a newsletter? All back issues are here: http://www.chrispye-woodcarving.com/intro/pastnews.html including zipfiles for 2001, 2002 & 2003, 2004 & 2005 newsletters ========================================================== Hello Everyone! *** IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT THIS NEWSLETTER!! *** I started this monthly newsletter about 5 years ago, first sending an email from my own computer and then, as numbers grew, using the database mail out on the website. I now think the form in which you receive it has reached its natural 'Use By' date. There are odd glitches happening due to subscriber numbers and the web has moved on a lot, and I intend making some major changes which I'm sure you'll welcome. Starting with the next issue, the newsletter will appear in your mailbox as 'html' - in effect a web page. This will mean that I can, for example, show you preview thumbnail of a new Green Man or my own work in the galleries rather than just telling you about it as now. So: * A fuller and richer offering, with pictures. * Possibly called something other than 'newsletter' * Still free to subscribers * Possibly containing some discrete and pertinent advertising to contribute towards its creation. * Almost certainly bi-monthly. * Also ending up as a web page as a 'past newsletter' on the website. Additionally during the year, I'll be upgrading the website. It acts as a focus for my work and courses, but I really want to make more of it's brief of encouraging and supporting carvers at all levels. ** YOU CAN HELP! If you have any thoughts about how the newsletter or website might be improved; what you'd like to see included; how it might work better, then please drop me a line - if you don't ask... You can reply to this newsletter but please change the subject line. BY THE WAY: There are still a few places available for the carving courses at the Center For Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine. See below. We have a great time and learn so much. That's it. Joy and success in your carving!
