Author's Notes about the Carving.

I have been carving for about two and a half years.
This is the second face I have done. My first face was carved on an old barn beam entitled "Woodman" (not a Green Man) and appeared in the April copy of Popular Woodworking magazine (p. 53).

The "Kirkmichael Green Man" was carved in Kirkmichael, Scotland while studying with Alan Lees.

About the Carver.

My home is in Falls, Pennsylvania, USA but, work takes me to Saudi Arabia 11 months of the year.
I have lived overseas for the past 16 years in Guatemala, Iraq, Bahrain and, presently, Saudi Arabia.

Would you like to contribute an interesting, contemporary, Green Man (gargoyles, grotesque etc) woodcarving?
Or have you a friend you could encourage to have their work shown?
Yes? Then I'd love to here from you!

Write to me, telling me a little about it first.
Thanks!
